A Marine and Fishers Surveillance aircraft of Indonesian Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries disappeared from radar.
The Marine and Fishers Surveillance aircraft (registration PK-THT) is missing. The plane was flying over the Java Sea at low altitude before it went missing northeast of Makassar Airport.
Makassar Tower reported that contact with the ATR 42-500 aircraft was lost at around 4:20 PM (WITA). The last radar recorded speed was 409 km/h at an altitude of 1,569 m.
Eleven souls were on board, consisting of eight crew members and three passengers.
The aircraft belongs to the Indonesian Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries.

The crash has been confirmed with an impact area at Maros/Mt Bulusaraung, South Sulawesi, Indonesia.
