A Russian Antonov An‑24 aircraft, with 43 passengers and 6 crew members on board, vanished from radar during a second landing attempt.

An aircraft has crashed near Tynda Airport in Amur Oblast with 43 passengers and 6 crew members on board.

The Antonov An-24 turboprop was reported performing a landing attempt in poor visibility then vanished from radar during a second attempt.

Its burning wreckage was found 15 km from the airport. There are no signs of survivors from the air and it will take some time for search parties to reach the site by land.
