The crew of Boeing’s newest and largest twin-engine jet captured stunning pictures before arriving at this year’s Dubai Airshow.
While ferrying the Boeing 777-9 to the UAE for its highly anticipated flying display, the test crew witnessed breathtaking views of the northern lights from 39,000 feet over Greenland.
The aircraft was cruising at altitude during the overnight segment of its long-range transit when the aurora borealis illuminated the sky in vibrant shades of green and violet.
The Boeing’s latest flagship was one of the star attractions of the Dubai Airshow flying program, showcasing its wingspan-flexing maneuverability, quiet GE9X engines, and next-generation aerodynamic design.
The aircraft (registered N779XW) returned to Seattle from Dubai yesterday, flying over Europe before crossing Atlantic.
