Flights to Milan Malpensa, Linate and Bergamo Airports are diverting due to a radar failure.

Due to a radar failure, flights bound for Milan Malpensa, Linate and Bergamo Airports are being diverted to alternate airfields (Bari airport) and overflights are being re-routed. Flights to Turin and Genoa are also affected.

The Milan Area Control Center, responsible for managing and coordinating air traffic in the Milan FIR/UIR.

This ACC handles en-route air traffic control services, not approach or tower services (which are handled by local ATC units at airports). LIMM ACC ensures safe separation of aircraft flying through high-altitude airspace over northern Italy.

Due to Radar failure at LIMM ACC (Area Control Center), diversion capabilities have been requested to the following airports: LSZH, LSGG, LJLJ, LIPZ, LFSB, LFMN, LFLL and EDDM.
