Instead to land in Paris, an Air France flight from Italy diverted to Switzerland.
The Airbus A320-200 (registration F-GKXZ) departed Rome Leonardo da Vinci International Airport to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport this morning at 07:09 CET, delayed more than one hour.
But after more than one hour and 30 minutes into the flight, the aircraft went around after attempting to land on runway 26L.
Weather situation was difficult with a fog reducing visibility to 400 meters with a base cloud at 100 feet.
The flight diverted to Zurich Airport and landed on runway 14 more than two hours after takeoff from Rome.
The airline confirmed to AIRLIVE the diversion and is scheduling a new departure at 11:00 from ZRH Airport.
