United flight UA109 to Washington is also diverting to Dublin after U-turn over Atlantic

After a Delta flight to Boston diverted to Ireland, a United Airlines flight to Washington is also diverting to Dublin.

United Airlines flight UA109 departed Munich today at 12:14 CET to Washington IAD Airport but after 3 hours into the flight, the aircraft turned around over Atlantic at 40,000 feet.

Few minutes ago, a Delta flight DL257 to Boston also diverted to Dublin.

The Boeing 787-8 (registration N28912) is expected in Dublin at 3:09 PM. The airline is already scheduling a new departure at 4:20 PM.
