Air Canada flight AC823 departed Barcelona, Spain today at 13:12 CET for a 8-hour flight to Montréal, Canada.
The Boeing 777-300ER (registration C-FNNU) was 3 hours into the flight and cruising at 32,000 feet altitude when the crew contacted ATC about a medical emergency on board.
Pilots contacted ATC and the flight was not diverted to Shannon but reached Dublin Airport and landed at 16:45 local time.
The flight resumed at 19:00 GMT from runway 28R, now estimated to land in Montréal at 21:15 EDT.
