A flight to Eastern Canada turned around over the Pacific and returned to Australia.
Air Canada flight AC36 departed Brisbane, Australia today at 10:15 AEST for a 13-hour flight to Vancouver, Canada.
The Boeing 787-9, with registration C-FNOH, took off from runway 01R and climbed to 34,000 feet over Pacific.
But after about 90 minutes into the flight, the crew decided to turn around due to a technical issue on the Dreamliner.
The aircraft landed back in Brisbane on the same runway and returned to the gate 82. The airline has now confirmed the flight was cancelled due to unexpected maintenance issues.
