KLM flight from Stockholm to Amsterdam diverted to Hamburg following engine smoke.
KLM flight KL1220 en route from Stockholm to Amsterdam was forced to make an emergency landing in Hamburg on Thursday after smoke was reported coming from one of its engines.
The Boeing 737-800, registration PH-HSD, landed safely on runway 23 at Hamburg Airport.
All passengers disembarked without injury and were transported to the terminal by bus.
The incident led to a temporary suspension of takeoffs and landings at HAM airport for approximately 30 minutes as the fire department responded to the situation.
Flight operations have since resumed. The source and severity of the smoke remain unclear, the spokesperson added.
