A Boeing 777 from the U.S. carried out a fuel jettison for 30 minutes before diverting to Ireland.
Monday, July 14 2025 Emirates flight EK238 from Boston diverted to Dublin, Ireland due to a medical emergency on board according to source.
The medical situation occurred in middle of the Atlantic. The aircraft (registration A6-EQD) changed its flight path to fly towards Dublin Airport. The Boeing 777-300ER carried out a fuel jettison for 30 minutes before reaching the Irish coast to lower the landing weight.
It landed 5 hours and 30 minutes after departure form Boston on runway 28L then taxied to a remote area for a passenger to be offloaded by medical team.
