The flight LY27 departed Ben Gurion Airport at 01:01 IST Tuesday, January 14 2025 for a 12-hour flight to Newark.
While cruising at 34,000 ft in French airspace, the crew declared an emergency (squawk 7700) and turned around the Boeing 787-9.
The aircraft (registration 4X-EDI) was vectored to Paris CDG due to a medical emergency on board. It landed on runway 09R at 05:30 local time and taxied to a remote stand at terminal 2.
The flight resumed 1 hour and 30 minutes later and departed from runway 08L to Newark.
