Multiple flights to and from Kodiak were canceled after an Alaska Airlines plane struck several deer while landing in the morning.

Alaska Airlines Flight AS231, a Boeing 737 MAX 8, with registration N801AK, arriving from Anchorage, landed around 8 a.m. Thursday, July 24 when it collided with at three deer crossing the runway.

No injuries were reported among the passengers or crew, but the aircraft sustained damage to its main landing gear and will remain grounded in Kodiak for repairs.
