With the Champions League final being held in Cardiff on the 3rd June, masses of football charters and business jets were expected into the local airports over the few days before and following this event, the biggest club football date of the year. On the release of the charter list, I was very keen to catch this one, An Alitalia Airbus A330, inbound from Milan-Malpensa, with 250+ Juventus football fans.

This aircraft is registered I-EJGA, and is one of the only two A330’s Alitalia wholly own, with the rest being leased, like the majority of their fleet. It was built in 2007 and was delivered to Alitalia from Etihad in 2015. The Juventus & Real Madrid football teams arrived shortly before this arrived, beginning a very busy weekend in South Wales and the West Country.
