Bombardier’s flagship Global 7500 long-range business jet has established a new speed record for nonstop travel between Montreal and Paris.
According to the Canadian aerospace company, the aircraft completed the transatlantic journey in just 5 hours and 30 minutes, reaching peak speeds of over 1,000 kilometers per hour (approximately 621 miles per hour). In contrast, commercial airlines typically take around seven hours to cover the same route nonstop.
“The Global 7500 performs at the highest levels across the board, in real-world situations,” said Éric Martel, Bombardier’s President and CEO. “We’re proud to achieve meaningful speed records like this as part of routine operations—complete with passengers, luggage, and cargo—which sets us apart from the competition.”
This latest achievement comes shortly after the Global 7500 reclaimed the speed record for the Paris-to-Montreal route, completing that flight in under six hours. The jet also holds the record for the longest nonstop flight ever by a purpose-built business jet, having flown from Sydney to Detroit.
With a maximum range of 7,700 nautical miles, the Global 7500 features a customizable cabin layout with four living spaces, a full-size kitchen, ergonomic seating, and expansive windows designed for comfort and luxury.
