Silver Airways has officially ceased all operations after filing for bankruptcy, marking the end of its service across the U.S. and Caribbean.
Despite extensive marketing efforts and outreach to numerous potential investors, the airline was unable to secure a buyer during its recent bankruptcy auction. As a result, the company announced it will permanently shut down, effective immediately.
All scheduled flights have been cancelled as of Wednesday, June 11. The airline’s assets, including its fleet of ATR 42 and ATR 72 aircraft, will be sold as part of the liquidation process.
At the time it ceased operations on June 11, 2025, Silver Airways operated a modern turboprop fleet of eight aircraft:
- 3 × ATR 42‑600 – 46 seats each
- 5 × ATR 72‑600 – 70 seats each
Affected passengers are advised to request refunds through their original method of payment.
