The A380 aircraft, registration D-AIMC, climbed to 35,000 feet for a Northern route over Canada then Greenland.

While cruising over Manitoba, Canada, the crew was informed the iPad of a business class passenger had disappeared according to The Aviation Herald.
As the device could be stuck somewhere in the seats, flight attendants became concerned about the possibility the lithium ion battery could have been damaged.
The pilots were informed and then decided to fly during 3 more hours to divert to Boston Logan International Airport where the A380-800 landed overweight on runway 33L.
The flight resumed about 75 minutes and landed in Munich at 17:47 CEST about 3 hours behind schedule.
