Strong winds and rain are expected across the UK, winds will be especially strong across Ireland, the Central Belt, and Northern England.
Due to the expected impact of Storm Éowyn, airlines have cancelled a large number of flights scheduled to depart from and arrive into Dublin Airport on Friday morning.
Storm Éowyn is forecast to bring very strong winds to the Dublin region from the early hours of Friday morning through to around midday.
As of 07.45, airlines have cancelled around 230 flights scheduled to depart from and arrive into Dublin Airport this morning due to Storm Éowyn. Winds remain very strong in the Dublin region and are expected to remain that way throughout the morning.
Winds are gusting up to 56 kt (at 07:00 local time).
Further cancellations and delays to flights are possible during the remainder of the day. The airport advises passengers intending to travel on Friday to check the status of their flight directly with their airline before travelling to the airport.
