Qantas flight #QF1 to London Heathrow returned to Singapore following a technical issue.
The Airbus A380 departed Singapore Airport on Sunday, July 7 2024 shortly before midnight from runway 20C.
The aircraft (registration VH-OQH) climbed to 16,000 ft but started to enter a 20-minute hold due to a technical issue.
The crew then requested to be vectored back to SIN Airport where the plane landed 1 hour and 7 minutes after takeoff.
As the pilots didn’t drop fuel, the plane performed a heavy landed resulting in tyres deflation.
According to The Aviation Herald, the Airbus A380 suffered a hydraulic failure.
