The United Airlines flight #UA990 from San Francisco to Paris CDG was forced to divert to Denver.
The Boeing 777-200 (registration N224UA) was cruising at 33,000 ft when the crew detected an engine issue.
The 273 passengers and a dozen crew members on board safely diverted to Denver after 3 hours and 17 minutes of flight.
The plane landed safely after the crew reported a possible mechanical issue.
The FAA said in a statement it will investigate the incident
The incident occurred on March 28, 2024 and the flight was cancelled. The same plane was planned to perform flight UA914 from Paris to Washington on March 29, this flight was also cancelled.
But 5 days after, the 22 years old Boeing 777-200ER is still on the ground at Denver waiting for maintenance.
