An Aer Lingus flight was forced to return to Dublin due to a technical issue.
The Aer Lingus flight #EI3394 departed Dublin to Leeds this Sunday, March 17 2024 at 18:40 GMT from the Northern runway.
The flight was operated by an ATR 72-600 (registration EI-HDI) which is 10 years old.
After takeoff, the planed turned to the East toward the UK and reached 3,150 ft but the pilots stopped the climb and contacted the ATC about a landing gear issue.
According to Shauns_Aviation, the pilots were unable to retract the landing gear after takeoff.
The flight turned around for a safe landing on runway 28L only 26 minutes after takeoff.
Engineers will inspect the aircraft on stand.
