The passed away at Balmoral Castle in Scotland on Thursday 8th September 2022. A period of 10 days national mourning was held across the UK and commonwealth nations, culminating in the state funeral held on Monday 19th September 2022.
The list of leaders, royalty and politicians from across the world that came to mark their respect to The Queen’s 70 years of public service is long. We were only able to catch a small number of the arrivals. Some, such as President Biden Air Force One, Justin Trudeau Canadian Air Force, and Japan Self Air Defence Force arrived in darkness, and arrivals more generally occurred over a number of days.
