Whitehorse emergency responders got a workout today as a Boeing 777 freighter made a forced landing at the Whitehorse airport.
The troubled Fedex jetliner called in the emergency at around 7:25 a.m.
By the time it landed, just before 8 a.m., teams of firefighters and medical responders were on the scene.
A spokesperson for Fedex confirmed that the flight was en route from Memphis to Anchorage when it diverted to Whitehorse “due to technical issues.”
