Several Pilatus U-28A “Draco” Special Operations Aircraft from the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) have departed Wick John O’Groats Airport in Northern Scotland.
The flight path is projected to intersect with the active operation involving the Russian-flagged oil tanker Marinera (Bella-1).

Two U.S. officials told Reuters on Wednesday that the United States is attempting to seize a Russian-flagged tanker linked to Venezuela.
Two Royal Air Force aircraft also departed to fly over the oil tanker this morning.
The move follows a 14-day pursuit across the Atlantic and comes despite the presence of Russian naval assets including a submarine and a warship.
