Over the past week, U.S. and Allied Air Forces have been amassing at the base, which now hosts at least:
- 54 F-16 fighter jets
- 22 KC-135 refueling tankers
- 11 C-130 transport aircraft
- Several other aircraft parked on taxiways and in shelters
