Two Delta aircraft collided on a taxiway at New York’s LaGuardia Airport Wednesday night, injuring one flight attendant.
Two Delta Air Lines planes collided on a taxiway at LaGuardia Airport just before 10 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, in an incident that caused dramatic structural damage to one of the regional jets operated by Delta subsidiary Endeavor Air.
According to Delta Air Lines, preliminary information indicates that the wing of Flight DL5155 (CRJ900 registration N902XJ) scheduled to depart for Roanoke, Virginia made contact with the fuselage of Flight DL5047 (CRJ900 registration N480PX) arriving from Charlotte, North Carolina. The collision resulted in visible, substantial damage to the wing of the departing aircraft.

Endeavor Flight 5155 was carrying 32 people—28 passengers and four crew members. Endeavor Flight 5047 was carrying 61 people—57 passengers and four crew members, bringing the total number of people involved to 93.
The airline confirmed that a flight attendant sustained a minor injury and was treated by EMTs at the scene. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey stated that the injured person was transported to a hospital for further evaluation.

Passengers were escorted off both planes and onto waiting shuttle buses following the collision. The airline said that passengers who needed them would be provided hotel rooms and booked onto new flights Thursday.
