A Qantas Boeing 787 turned around near India and returned to Australia.
Qantas flight QF33 departed Perth, West of Australia Monday, June 23 2025 at 20:01 AWST for a scheduled flight time of 17 hours and 10 minutes.
The Boeing 787-9 (registration VH-ZNM) departed form runway 21 at Perth Airport and climbed to a cruise altitude of 38,000 feet.
But due to Iran’s missile strikes against U.S. Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar and UAE closed airspaces forcing pilots to turn around off coast of India.
The flight landed back in Perth, the next day, Tuesday, June 24 2025 on the same runway 21 17 hours and 7 minutes after departure.
