A flight to Malaga returned to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, met by emergency services upon landing.
The Vueling Airlines flight VY8364 departed Amsterdam Schiphol Airport at 07:10 CEST on runway 24 but the crew immediately stopped the climb due to a mechanical issue.
Pilots of the Airbus A320 (registration EC-KCU) contacted ATC requiring an immediate return. It landed back to Amsterdam on runway 18R only 45 minutes after takeoff.
The aircraft was met byre fire trucks upon arrival for an inspection.
The A320 aircraft taxied back to the gate.
