An Air France Boeing 777 to Dakar returned to Paris after a female passenger jumped on a flight attendant.
The Air France flight AF718 departed Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport Saturday, August 16 2025 at 17:24 CEST to Dakar, Senegal.
The flight, performed by a Boeing 777-300ER (registration F-GZNI) was cruising at 32,000 feet over Bordeaux when it turned around.
Pilots declared an emergency (squawk 7700) after a female passenger strangled the purser of the flight while shouting “I want to kill.”
A woman, surely mentally disturbed, began pacing up and down the plane and then started screaming. After that, she tried to bite and strangle the cabin chief.
The plane landed back in CDG after 1 hour and 43 minutes after takeoff. A New departure occurred at 21:28 CEST and landed in Dakar 5 hours later.
