Yangon Modern News Agency says air traffic control tower in Nay Pyi Taw collapsed due to massive earthquake earlier today.
A Nay Pyi Taw military source told Yangon Times that the control tower at Nay Pyi Taw Airport collapsed in the earthquake that struck this afternoon, killing all the staff on duty.
“The air traffic control tower collapsed. All the personnel working there were killed,” the military source in Nay Pyi Taw said.
The earthquake that struck today caused extensive damage and deaths throughout Nay Pyi Taw, but it is difficult to collect an exact count and roads have also been damaged.
