Authorities are searching rural Alaska for an aircraft that went missing while carrying 10 people.
A Bering Air plane Flight 8E445 with 10 people onboard disappeared from the radar over the Norton Sound of the Bering Sea in Alaska, on its way from Unalakleet (UNK airport) to Nome (OME airport).
Search and Rescue operations are currently underway but with very limited visibility due to weather in Alaska.

The National Guard, the Coast Guard and troopers were also helping with the search, according to the fire department.
Bering Air serves 32 villages in Western Alaska from hubs in Nome, Kotzebue and Unalakleet. Most destinations receive twice-daily scheduled flights Monday through Saturday.
