Loganair flight from Manchester to Aberdeen is declaring an emergency.
The flight departed Manchester at 16:19 GMT to Aberdeen but turned around only few minutes after takeoff.
The Embraer ERJ 145EU (registration G-SAJH) climbed to 16,000 ft before the pilots turned around and squawked 7700 (general emergency).
The aircraft returned to Manchester only 29 minutes after departure.
According to source, flight LM26 returned to Manchester due to a windscreen shattered due to lightning strike, captain side.
