A plane with passengers overran one of the runways at Salvador International Airport.
The incident happened on a flight #AD4372 that departed from Viracopos Airport, in Campinas, bound for the capital of Bahia.
The Azul Embraer E-195-E2 (reg. PS-AED) overran the end of runway 17 on landing, ending on soft ground.
The plane arrived at Salvador Airport on time, at 1:35 am. The airline did not say why the aircraft was unable to stop on the runway.
In a note, the airport spokesperson highlighted that the place where the plane stopped is a security area that is designed for this purpose, in situations where the aircraft exceeds the runway limits.
Runway 17/35 is providing a length of only 1518 meters.
