A Qatar Airways A350 is grounded after suffering a tailstrike while landing attempt at Islamabad Airport, Pakistan.
On April 16, Qatar Airways Airbus A350-941 aircraft registration A7-ALN was grounded at Islamabad Airport after post-flight inspection revealed tailstrike suffered by the aircraft.
The aircraft had arrived in Islamabad at 8:00 AM as flight QR614 from Doha with 277 passengers. The Airbus A350 has been declared Aircraft on Ground (AOG) unable to resume flying for technical reason.
Around 7:47 AM the aircraft initiated go-around after aborting landing on Islamabad Airport Runway 28L due to strong crosswind.

On second attempt, the aircraft landed on Islamabad Airport Runway 28L at 8:00 AM. Flight QR614 was scheduled to arrive in Islamabad at 7:50 AM.
Blood and urine samples of cockpit crew have been taken for medical tests and aircraft was examined by Pakistan’s Aircraft Accident Investigation Board (AAIB) representatives at Islamabad Airport. Information about the incident also has been sent to Airbus.
