The terminal at the Pensacola International Airport has been shut down Thursday morning as authorities investigate a “potential threat.”
“Pensacola Police and Airport staff are currently investigating a potential threat on site,” the airport says in a release.
“At this time the airport terminal is closed to passenger traffic. Please stand by for more information and we appreciate your patience.”

Airport officials tell that the threat came through a call to the airport operations center.
Airport officials add flights within the next two hours will likely be delayed. You are encouraged to check with your airline about all flights Thursday for possible cancellations.
