The on-flight meal came too close for comfort at Newark Liberty International Airport Friday when a United jet collided with a catering truck.
Flight 4080 was scheduled to leave when it made contact with the truck at about 11:45 a.m., Port Authority spokeswoman Cheryl Ann Albiez said.
There were 46 people on board and one woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Albiez said.
The jet was coming out of the gate when it hit the catering truck, according to United spokesman Charles Hobart.
