An Allegiant MD83 skidded off the runway at the Sioux Falls Regional Airport Sunday.
Allegiant Air confirms the plane was flight #G4456 from Las Vegas to Sioux Falls. It touched down at 11:43 a.m. Sunday.
Allegiant said heavy snow conditions and crosswinds caused the plane to slide 20 feet off the runway.
Airport Executive Director Dan Letellier Sunday afternoon confirmed the incident and said maintenance crews were also working to get the plane back on the runway.
