Main entrance of Amsterdam Schiphol Airport terminal has been evacuated after military police shot a man.

The man was threatening people with a knife.

  • UPDATE 16:27 UTC Air traffic was not affected
  • UPDATE 16:17 UTC Terminal has been re-opened.
  • UPDATE 16:10 UTC The suspect has been apprehended and taken into custody. In a tweet, the Marechaussee police service says the “situation is safe” and the suspect has been detained and removed from the scene.
