Air Vallee Fokker 50, flight W21908 from Rimini with 21 people on board, was landing at Catania when the lower the nose gear wouldn’t retract and had a go around.
The aircraft did land on its main gear about one hour after the go around.
Passengers evacuated onto the runway, there were no injuries.
Catania was closed but has since reopened and flights are arriving with a few hours delay.
