A plane carrying 10 passengers has gone missing over Indonesia. Aviastar airline confirmed officials lost contact with a DHC-6 Twin Otter.
The plane carrying 3 crew, 7 passengers including 3 kids lost contact 11 minutes after taking off in good weather from Masamba in South Sulawesi province. No distress signal was received.
Ahmad Munir, head of the airport authority in Makassar, said satellite data showed the aircraft’s last known position was about 20 miles (32 kilometers) from Masamba.
