A training military plane has crashed into a school campus in northern Dhaka, Bangladesh.
A Bangladesh Air Force F-7 BGI training aircraft crashed into a school campus in northern Dhaka’s Uttara on Monday shortly after takeoff, killing at least 19 people while leaving over 100 injured, local media reported.

Over 100 students have been burnt and hospitalized. The Bangladesh government has declared a one-day state mourning over the tragedy, as per Daily Star.
The Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) operates the F-7 BGI, a modernized version of the Chinese Chengdu F-7 fighter jet, used both for advanced training and light combat roles.

Acquired to upgrade BAF’s fast jet training capability, the F-7 BGI offers pilots a vital transition from basic trainers to front-line fighter aircraft.
