WASHINGTON — A Delta Air Lines flight from Atlanta was met by law enforcement upon arrival in Washington on Thursday evening after an unruly passenger reportedly began throwing trash at fellow travelers mid-flight.
Delta flight DL832 departed Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Thursday, October 8, bound for Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). Shortly into the roughly 90-minute flight, crew members aboard the Airbus A320 were forced to deal with a disruptive passenger seated in 2D.
According to flight records and reports, the individual began tossing trash at nearby passengers, causing a disturbance in the cabin. The flight deck alerted local authorities and requested a security presence to meet the aircraft immediately upon touching down.
Flight DL832 landed safely at DCA at 7:13 PM EDT, where law enforcement officers and airport security personnel were waiting at the gate to escort the passenger off the plane.
Delta Air Lines continues to maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy for in-flight disruptions.
