Emirates flight EK929 departed from Terminal 3 at Dubai DXB Airport in United Arab Emirates at 10:50 GST for a 4-hour flight to Cairo, Egypt.
The Boeing 777-200LR (registration A6-EWB) was cruising at 36,000 feet when the flight descended to 10,000 feet altitude and the crew declared an emergency (squawk 7700).
