Flight HV9263 departed Brussels Airport (BRU) at 06:55 CET on Wednesday, October 28, bound for Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK). The flight was operated using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft with registration PH-HXE.

While cruising at 37,000 feet along its route over France and heading toward Spanish airspace, flight crew were alerted that a 78-year-old female passenger had lost consciousness. Recognizing the severity of the situation, the flight crew contacted air traffic control and requested an immediate diversion to ensure prompt medical assistance for the passenger.

Air traffic controllers cleared the aircraft for a route alteration and vectored the flight directly toward Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport (AGP) in southern Spain.

The Boeing 737 landed safely in Malaga approximately two hours and 30 minutes after taking off from Brussels. Emergency medical services were on standby at the airport to attend to the elderly passenger upon arrival.

After handling the medical emergency on the ground, the flight resumed its journey to Marrakech later the same day.
