Pilots of a United Airlines Boeing 737 declared an emergency after departure form Dallas-Fort Worth, TX.
United Airlines flight UA380 departed Dallas-Fort Worth, TX at 07:20 CST for a two-hour flight to Chicago, IL.
The 26-year-old Boeing 737-700 (registered N13718) took off form runway 18L and climbed to 39,000 feet.
After 40 minutes into the flight, pilots declared an emergency (squawk 7700) for due to a bomb threat.
The flight started to descend and was vectored to Saint Louis (STL) where it landed on runway 29 a bit more than one hour after departure. The aircraft vacated the runway at the end but was unable to taxi.
UPDATE
The aircraft was searched during more than 2 hours before it was allowed to taxi to the gate.
