Delta flight from Paris CDG to Detroit rejected takeoff following an incident on the runway.

Delta flight #DL95 from Paris CDG, France to Detroit, USA is canceled following an incident this morning.

The flight was scheduled to depart at 7:20 am from Paris CDG for a 8-hour flight to Deroit.

The Airbus A330-300 (registration N806NW) lined up on runway 26R almost 3 hours late and finally didn’t takeoff.

While accelerating, the crew detected an incident with the aircraft, a possible bird strike and was forced to reject the takeoff.

The fire trucks rushed to the plane as the left hand engine caught fire during the incident. The aircraft was stuck on the runway during 1h30.

Due to a mechanical issue with the aircraft, we have canceled this flight. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.
