According to the first elements of the investigation, this plane was flying illegally over the Fessenheim nuclear power plant on Saturday at the start of the afternoon when the national air operations center ordered the pilot to comply.
A Rafale fighter jet took off before also ordering the plane to obey the injunctions, without success.
The pilot of the Rafale then realized that the tourist plane was dropping packages before landing in the airfield of Aubenas at 3:30 p.m. The pilot threatened with death the employees of the aerodrome who approached him and abandoned his plane while fleeing on foot.
Shortly after 9 p.m., the pilot was seen near the aerodrome. He was then arrested by the police and taken into custody. The suspect is a man of Polish nationality.
The packages dropped in flight were found in small villages in the Ardèche mountains. It is methamphetamine, a synthetic drug that provides effects similar to cocaine.
