A Qatar Airways A350 is grounded after suffering a tailstrike while landing attempt at Islamabad Airport, Pakistan.

On April 16, Qatar Airways Airbus A350-941 aircraft registration A7-ALN was grounded at Islamabad Airport after post-flight inspection revealed tailstrike suffered by the aircraft.

The aircraft had arrived in Islamabad at 8:00 AM as flight QR614 from Doha with 277 passengers. The Airbus A350 has been declared Aircraft on Ground (AOG) unable to resume flying for technical reason.

Around 7:47 AM the aircraft initiated go-around after aborting landing on Islamabad Airport Runway 28L due to strong crosswind.
