A Boeing 737 from New York LaGuardia to Chicago O’Hare turned around few minutes into the flight.
The United Airlines flight UA623 departed New York LaGuardia Airport few minutes ago for a 2-hour journey to Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
The Boeing 737-800 (registration N33286) took off form runway 13 then climbed until 25,000 feet until the pilots decided to turn around due to a technical issue with the aircraft.
The crew contacted ATC requiring a return to New York. The flight was vectored to Newark Liberty International Airport where it landed on runway 22L only 20 minutes after departure.
The airline is confirming to AIRLIVE a maintenance issue. The team needs to evaluate the technical issue before the plane can depart again.
