A flight from Dublin to Lanzarote Island turned around over South of Ireland.
The Aer Lingus flight EI776 departed Dublin Airport runway 28R on time at 07:55 IST this morning for a scheduled flight time of 4 hours and 20 minutes.
But 30 minutes into the flight the Airbus A320 turned around after flying South of Ireland at 34,000 feet.
The pilots declared a PAN-PAN on a call made to Shannon ATC due to a medical emergency on board according to source.
The plane with registration EI-DER landed on runway 28L and taxied to stand escorted by Airport Fire Service due to an overweight landing.
