Delta Airlines Flight DL3067 departed from Charlotte today at 10:16 EST for a 1h 25 m flight to Atlanta.
The Boeing 717 (registration N946AT) with 78 people on board stopped the climb at 8,300ft and descended back to Charlotte.
Pilots contacted Air Traffic Control about a hydraulic issue on the right side of the plane.
The flight made an emergency landing 58 minutes later.
